Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful holiday and a safe and happy New Year! Thank you to all the amazing friends and clients that I have met and worked with along the way. You influence me to be more creative and guide me as a designer. I have big plans for 2008 and am excited to start fresh with a new store, projects and events! Hoping 2008 turns out to be a great year for you all!

Juno Stool

Not exactly sure how I stumbled upon this image of Ellen Page and Michael Cera from a Juno photo shoot, but I thought I would post it on my blog and show how they reused a plastic crate as a stool. I might have chosen a different type of fabric but loved the use of the cabrio legs.

My New Location...

So I was going to wait to the first of year to break the news of my new location but I just could not wait any longer! I am moving just down the street to 1409 Abbot Kinney Blvd., just right across the street from Pink Berry. I will be fully moved in by Jan 2nd so make sure you come by for a visit!

Marina Del Rey Project

Almost done decorating my clients bedroom in Marina Del Rey. This dresser was found many years ago in abandoned home in New Orleans, so we gave it new life and had it lacquered in white gloss. We will be adding new handles this week. Should have more images to post next week.

Make sure you come out to the Shop By Design event hosted by Gen Art and Dwell Magazine Next Tuesday December 11th from 6:30-11:00pm at the Cooper Design Space located at 860 Los Angeles St., Suite 900 Downtown. Moving....

Hi Everyone,
I have just given notice on my showroom and are moving to a new location in the next month or so. I will be in my existing space until December 31st and after that I will disclose my new location. I have had a wonderful time being on Abbot Kinney, but its time for me to move on up. I will continue to sell my items, so if you are still interested in purchasing something after December 31st, don't hesitate to email me. And don't forget we ship - for those of you who live outside LA! Thank you to all that have supported my business and to the friends I have made along the way. Montauk Sofa

I just received an email from a faithful reader Marilyn - from Atlanta, who recently purchased the above sofa from Montauk Sofa. Unfortunately the sofa does not fit in Marilyn's home and because of Montauk's policy she cannot return it for credit. Does anyone know of a place or can suggest an online site where Marilyn can post her sofa without taking a huge loss from it? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you!

InStyle Home

So it turns out the Fall/Winter issue of InStyle Home will be its last. So sad because I'm sure most of us enjoyed the Home issues and with House and Garden Magazine now gone I wonder what new magazine will pop up or end up biting the dust. You might want to pick up the last issue, you never know it might be a collectors item!

My friend Heather O'Donovan (who I used to consign my line with in Brentwood) opened up a wonderful new shop located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina called The Sitting Room. The site for store (which is located in a home) is not up yet, but yes you guested it Mrs Heather has already started her blog!
