Gare d'Austerlitz Design Architecture

Gare d'Austerlitz (Austerlitz Station) is one of the major railway stations in Paris. It is situated on the left bank of river Seine in the southeast part of town, namely XIIIe arrondissement. This is the origin for the Paris-Bordeaux and Paris-Toulouse main lines, but since the introduction of the TGV Atlantique - served by the Gare Montparnasse - Austerlitz has lost most long-distance service to the southwest. It is used by approximately 25 million passengers each year, about half the amount through Montparnasse.
